Shelves adjust on marked 1 inch centers without tools. Simply snap together a split sleeve, position it on the post and rest the shelf upon it. Posts are 1 inch diameter stainless steel, grooved and clearly marked on 1 inch increments. Takes the guess work out of positioning each shelf and assures that each shelf is absolutely level.
